An introduction of sorts
HEY! My name is Shane and I'm a bit of a writer. I suppose I should start with the plan for this blog. I'd like to talk about audio recording, cool products I'm excited about, guitars, guitar pedals, possibly DIY audio stuff. A little bit of background, I was a "audio engineer" for 18 years at a small record label in Canada. I am now a full time music retail sales person. I've written a few articles that have been published about music. I've written a bunch of Dungeons & Dragons adventures (of course this has nothing to do with audio!). Interesting tidbit I just learned, technically in Canada you cannot call yourself an Engineer without a accreditation. Which basically means that saying Audio Engineer isn't really a title in Canada. Alas I was the guy behind the board, pro-toolsing stuff, cheering on musicians, etc. Call it what you want. I should note that I still do a bit of audio mixin...
